So, in February, Heather Whaling (@prtini) -- with an assist from sports aficionado BJ Fischer (@fischerbj) -- created this wiki to help you connect with your favorite players. Note that this list only includes real Twitter accounts -- not people posing as athletes. Feel free to add to the collection and help us develop a comprehensive resource of tweeting athletes.
More and more athletes are taking to Twitter to communicate directly with their fans. Just think how that will change the role ESPN, Sports Illustrated and other media outlets play in reporting sports.
